What format are the short films available in?
The videos are available in 3 file formats:
- MPEG1 – this is a very universal file format. MPEG1 most likely works in your computer’s default media player or in PowerPoint, MedaShout, or other presentation software.
- MOV – This is QuickTime’s high resolution, H.264 file format. We offer films in both SD and HD resolutions. You must have QuickTime 7.0 or later to play this file, which is available for free at www.apple.com/quicktime.
- Low-Res – For personal viewing only. It utilizes the M4V file format, which are optimized to play in iTunes and are iPhone, iPod, and iTouch compatible. M4V files are playable anywhere that lays a QuickTime MOV file
What is the resolution of your short films?
We offer 3 versions of the short films depending on use of the product:
- SD version is 800×600
- HD version is 1280×720
- Low-Res (iPod) is 480×270
Will your videos work with the presentation software I use at my church?
We encode our media into formats that can be played in the most popular presentation programs used by churches today.

DOWNLOADING
How do I access my download links?
After completing the payment process a download link is given. This link is also sent to the email address you provided during the purchase process.
My download didn’t work the first time. Can I try it again?
Your download link is good for up to three (3) clicks/downloads. Did you try the links in your email purchase confirmation email and on the website? If after trying a second time you are still having difficulty downloading your purchase, please contact us at info@GodFilms.com and we will make sure the link is active and working correctly.
What if my download link expires before I get the chance to download what I ordered?
First, did the entire file download? Make sure that the download did not get cut off early. Sometimes because of either the internet connection or computer, files get cut short. Try downloading again. The church use files are all larger than 200 megabytes for each film.
If you are certain that the entire file downloaded, then the issue is likely with the program you are trying to play the video in. We highly recommend Apple QuickTime.
How do I open a zip file?
Once your file has finished downloading, double click on it and your computer should open it automatically. If not, you may need to download one of the free programs listed below:
- Stuffit Expander – PC & Apple – www.stuffit.com
- Winzip – PC only – www.winzip.com
I have downloaded a video, why won’t it play correctly in my player?
Try updating your media player to the most current version. If that doesn’t work, try one of these players:
GENERAL QUESTIONS
How can I contact GodFilms?
We are email freaks. So, the best way to contact us is by sending an e-mail to info@GodFilms.com.
Do you accept story ideas?
YES! We are always searching for stories to tell. If you have an idea or lead, please send it to info@GodFilms.com.
Why do you charge for these videos?
Unfortunately, making high-quality high-definition short films are expensive. And, the only way we can ensure that we can make more of them for you is to charge a nominal fee. So, spread the word, buy an extra copy, and pray for this special ministry. Thanks!
Where does your funding come from?
All funding for GodFilms is provided by GBOD, part of the international headquarters of The United Methodist Church. The start-up funds were provided through a grant made possible by GBOD.
